The star column Ilve CSTARSN is part of nostalgie line, a collection that interprets the taste of tradition in a modern key, matching refined retro aesthetic cues with new generation technologies.
Designed for those who want to take home performance of a professional kitchen in an optimal space and with a'intriguing aesthetics, the CSTARSN star column integrates three household appliances in a single column:
- a ultracombi trivalent oven, which integrates convection and grill, steam and microwave cooking for superior cooking performance;
- a blast chiller, which cools, freezes and regenerates besides being able to cook at low temperature respecting the structure and nutrients of food;
- a drawer for vacuum, thanks to which the foods, fresh or cooked, are preserved longer, but not only: you can program tasty marinades and healthy infusions.
The three appliances allow to work according to a synergistic cycle, to optimize conservation, to combine cooking types and to preserve the organoleptic qualities of food, creating masterpieces of taste: the perfect “brigade” to earn time in the kitchen, enhance the most genuine tastes and save on spending, for a healthy and natural daily diet.
The star column CSTERSN is available in five finishes (white, old white, stainless steel, mat graphite, burgundy red), while the knobs and handrails, with the characteristics retro lines, can be realized with brass, chrome or brown finishes.

• Multiple ventilated cooking: It is the function that allows the simultaneous cooking of different dishes without the smells mixing.You can cook lasagna, croissants and brioches, tarts, cakes, etc. saving time and electricity.
• Ventilated grill cooking: particularly fast and deep, with considerable energy savings, this function is indicated for many foods such as: pork rib, sausages, pork skewers or mixed, game, gnocchi alla romana, etc.
• Microwave cooking: iLVE microwave has a cavity, studied and experienced for a long time, capable of fast and uniform cooking: dishes are invested by microwaves in every part obtaining homogeneous temperatures. Very comfortable to heat liquids and precooked foods but also to cook vegetables quickly.
• Steam cooking: healthy and light steam cooking, for any type of food.
• Combined steam/hot air cooking:Thanks to the steam the food remains soft and juicy.
• Combined cooking microwave / steam: the microwave speed from 270W to 500 W is combined, with the delicacy of steam cooking.
• Combined cooking hot/microwave air: microwaves from 270W to 500W accelerate the action of the traditional hot air, shortening the cooking time.
• Combined grill/microonde cooking: for a quick and golden dot cooking. Grill with microwave from 500W to 800W.

Functions
• Leavening: through this function it is possible to make a dough rise by choosing three different operating modes: “Immediate”, “Conserved”, “Retarded”. In each of them, the machine allows to set the air temperature, the duration and the humidity level, for a perfect control of leavening. By programming the duration of the leavening it is possible to reduce the amount of yeast, obtaining a lighter and digestible product, at the same time favoring the development of the desired aroma.
• Slow cooking: this function makes it possible to cook a food slowly, at a constant low temperature for a determined time. It is the ideal cooking mode for the sous saw, because it allows to safeguard the structure of the food by not subjecting them to high thermal stress and not dispersing its nutritional values
• Ready at the table:This function allows to heat a previously baked and stored food in the refrigerator and serve it at the table at the correct consumption temperature, or to program its availability at the desired temperature, postponeing until 10 hours the heating of food.
• Breakdown:This function allows you to quickly reduce the core temperature of freshly cooked food, bringing it to +3°C, a useful level for interrupting the cooking process and preparing the food for subsequent handling.By reducing the time the food remains in the temperature range of bacteria proliferation, the preservation time of the food itself is extended.
• Freezing with microcrystals:The freezing process quickly brings the food to a temperature of -18°C with the microcrystal technique.This method avoids excessive loss of liquids and the consequent loss of weight in the subsequent defrosting phase.The process allows you to preserve the food for several months.The organoleptic qualities, flavor, aroma and appearance of the food are kept intact by rapidly solidifying the water contained, thus avoiding tearing the fibers.
• Pre-cooling: pre-cooling consists in cooling the internal parts of the appliance;by cooling the air inside the cell, the machine is ideally prepared for the chilling and freezing functions of even very hot foods, shortening the times of subsequent cycles and reducing consumption.This process allows you to optimize the processing times in the kitchen because it takes place during the preparation of the recipes
• Fresh drinks: preserving beverages at the desired temperature is the task of a wine cellar, however the blast chiller has performance characteristics that are very useful when you do not have enough time.This program allows you to reduce the temperature of a beverage based on the time available;you only need to indicate the number of bottles and the time.The internal ventilation will prepare them for the best tasting.
• Cooling:When it is not possible to consume a freshly cooked food immediately because its temperature is too high, with this function it is possible to speed up the cooling process of freshly baked foods before consuming them, or to cool them quickly for the preparation of other foods, without waiting for natural acclimatization.
• Defrosting: the blast chiller manages the defrosting phase of a food according to the “controlled air temperature” mode, which allows a food to be brought from freezing temperature to 1÷3°C without losing liquids and without starting to cook it.Defrosting foods progressively allows to keep their consistency and structure intact, avoiding the transformation of proteins that occurs, for example, with the defrosting of meat with microwaves.
• Raw fish:Bad conservation of fishery products can cause health risks related to contamination from Anisakis, a parasite that can be eliminated with prolonged cooking or freezing processes and storage at -30°C (sanification). This program uses the high performance of the breaker to reproduce the sanitation process at home. At the end of the cycle the maintenance is expected to -18°C.
• Storage 0°C: this function is designed to preserve the organoleptic properties of raw foods and is suitable when you want to preserve foods such as meat, fish and vegetables for a few hours before preparing them, blocking and inhibiting bacterial proliferation.
